Homelessness looks different to everyone.
Sisters Housing Enterprises Inc. continues its vital work with women who are at risk of becoming or who are homelessness in Wagga Wagga, and LGA’s areas of Coolamon, Lockhart & Junee.
Our service provides case management and support for women and children.
Our service is non-discriminatory and offers support to all women including those from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) & Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
Experienced case managers will work with you to develop a plan unique to you to achieve your goals.
These may be some of the issue’s women face, having trouble paying the rent, having been given a termination notice or are struggling to make ends meet, we are here to provide you with support and guidance.
Capable Caseworkers
Our trauma-informed caseworkers have a client-centred approach, encouraging women to determine the best options and outcomes for themselves and their families.
Working from a referral and case management bases to address a woman’s identified needs.
Work is undertaken from a wholistic, supportive and caring environment to achieve safe, stable long-term housing solutions.
Our activism through the DVLC (Domestic Violence Liaison Committee Wagga Wagga) allows us to raise awareness of the effects of Domestic Violence on women and children and also to continue to contribute to making a difference in the community.
Realistic Housing Solutions
Sisters Housing Enterprises Inc. has a small number of affordable transitional housing options available to women. Whilst women are accommodated in these properties their case worker will work with them, to develop daily living skills and assistance to maintain a tenancy.
Sisters Housing Enterprises Inc. has regular visiting practitioners in-house to help you access a variety of services. A Financial Counsellor is available weekly, and Centrelink services are available fortnightly.
